October 15–December 7 is the annual Medicare Open Enrollment period (changes take effect January 1).
Some of things you can do during this period:
- Move from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan, or the other way around.
- Switch from one Medicare Advantage Plan to another Medicare Advantage Plan.
- Select, join and/or switch to a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan that meets your current needs.
Come to a Senior Benefits Information Center (SBIC) to understand your options. No appointment is necessary, but do come early during the available hours if possible.
If you want to evaluate your Part D (drug coverage) options, bring a list of your current medications (dosage and frequency).
